Island County District Court welcomes anyone within the State of Washington who wishes to petition for a name change. We understand how important your hearing is to you. Below are forms containing detailed instructions on filling out the petition for a name change. Please follow the instructions and file your petition with Island County District Court.
You can file the petition in person, by mail or email. Filing fees can be paid in person, by mail (please no cash) or by making a payment online. A court hearing will be set when the court has received your petition and filing fee. If you are unable to afford these fees, you can petition the court for a waiver.
