Adult Drug Court

Adult Felony Drug Court

Island County Superior Court now operates adult and juvenile Drug Courts. Drug Courts are alternatives to traditional prosecution for non-violent drug-addicted offenders. Participating in Adult Drug Court requires a minimum two-year commitment of intensive treatment and supervision as well as compliance with rigorous conditions. Failure to comply with conditions will result in sanctions, and, ultimately, conviction and sentencing on the original crimes. Successful graduation will result in dismissal or reduction of the original charges, and a strong start toward sustained sobriety, productivity and social integration.
