Opioid Outreach
In collaboration with first responders and area service providers, the Opioid Outreach Worker provides short-term support for people with opioid addiction until intake with local treatment providers is completed. In addition to providing initial support, the program helps people in need of services navigate the complex treatment system and/or recovery support services.

NARCAN® (naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of an opioid emergency such as an overdose or a possible opioid overdose with signs of breathing problems and severe sleepiness or not being able to respond. Narcan is available by standing order at any pharmacy and is often covered by insurance, though a co-pay may apply. If you are unable to obtain a NARCAN kit through a pharmacy, contact the outreach workers listed above for support.

After speaking with stakeholders across the region, North Sound Behavioral Health released a Regional Opioid Reduction Plan (PDF). In it are key strategies for preventing and reducing opioid misuse and abuse.
